Snorkeling in the La Maddalena National Park

Snorkeling with a guide, at your own pace

On every day trip we stop in three clear coves of the archipelago, such as Cala Corsara at Spargi or the bay in front of Cala dei Cavalieri at Budelli, so there is time to swim and snorkel. Gabriella, our hostess and snorkeling guide, is in the water with you: she shows you where the fish are, how to breathe with the mask, and what to look at.

What you can see

The coves of the park have rocks, sandy bottoms and meadows of Posidonia, the seagrass that keeps the Mediterranean clear. You often see schools of fish, and Gabriella, who is also an ISDA Naturalist Diver – Mediterranean, explains what you are looking at. What you see depends on the day and the conditions.

For everyone, with simple rules

It is surface snorkeling only, with no scuba tanks: you stay on the surface and look down. We give a short safety briefing before every swim and choose the bay on the day, based on wind, calm water and fewer boats. If you prefer to stay dry, you can lie on deck, use a paddleboard, or go to the beach by tender.

Included

Snorkeling masks and Fins, stand-up paddleboards, tender transfers to the beaches.

Respect the park

You are in a National Park: we do not touch or take anything from the sea, and we ask guests to follow the park rules.
